About Us

If you are new to NipNip, allow us to introduce ourselves. At NipNip, we began as a family-run business in 2013, with only an orange Vespa and a few tools stored under its seat, performing servicing and repairs to customers in London. From the very beginning, our mission has been to keep cyclists safe and their two-wheeled counterparts functioning at their best.

Today, we have grown to be one of London’s leading bike repair and servicing companies with three dedicated London bike workshops, offering services to the general public and more than 300 corporate companies across London.

Our Services

We believe that cycling is for everyone. Regardless of whether you’re a seasoned pro who cycles hundreds of miles a week, you cycle as a way to commute to work, or simply enjoy a leisurely cycle around the park, every cyclist matters.

How often you ride and the purpose of your cycling shape your bicycle needs. As such, we understand that servicing isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution, but should be tailored to address different requirements. That’s why we provide bike servicing in three tiers, Bronze, Silver and Gold, designed to cater to basic, advanced and complete bike maintenance needs.

Bronze Service

Our Bronze service provides a fundamental level of care to ensure your bike is safe and running smoothly. This package includes a full safety check and a full bolt check to identify any loose components.

We’ll also wipe down the frames and forks and inspect them for any signs of damage or wear. The gears and brakes will be adjusted for optimal performance, and the wheels and tyres will be inspected for damage or wear. We’ll ensure your wheels are trued, the chain is checked and lubricated, and the tyres are inflated to the correct pressure.

Silver Service

Building upon the Bronze service, our Silver tier offers a more comprehensive level of maintenance. In addition to all the checks and adjustments included in the Bronze package, the Silver service incorporates a thorough cleaning.

Drivetrain parts are  removed then deep cleaned in our eco-friendly parts washer before being refitted. We also clean the frame and forks, remove and clean the drivetrain, and clean the wheels and spokes. For an extra £3, we can also apply a protective bike polish.

On the technical side, the Silver service goes further by including checks and adjustments of the hub bearings, headset, and bottom bracket. Importantly, this tier includes the fitting of brake pads/discs, cables, chain, and cassette (please note any additional parts fitted will incur an additional charge).

Gold Service

Our Gold service represents the pinnacle of bike maintenance, encompassing everything in the Silver tier and adding a full overhaul of key components. This package includes the removal of all parts from the bike for a thorough deep clean in our eco-friendly parts washer before refitting.

Beyond the Silver cleaning, the Gold service involves the disassembly, cleaning, and regreasing of the wheels and hubs, and the bottom bracket and headset. Additional charges apply for internal cable-routed headsets. We also ensure the bottom bracket threads are cleaned.

In terms of technical adjustments, the Gold service includes the fitting of even more components, adding the bottom bracket and headset and bar tape to the list of parts whose fitting is included. As with the other tiers, any additional parts required will incur an extra charge.

Bike Repairs

We also offer specialised bike repair services to address any issues you may encounter, whether it’s a broken chain, faulty brakes, or a puncture. Simply book a repair, and we’ll swiftly resolve the problem for you. These repairs can be carried out alongside one of our comprehensive servicing packages or as a standalone service, focused solely on the specific issue at hand.

When you reserve a 30-minute slot at one of our London bike workshops, this time is dedicated to conducting a thorough safety check and diagnosing any issues. Once the problem has been identified, our team will provide an estimated timeline for the repair or servicing, along with a clear indication of when your bike will be ready for collection.

For morning appointments, we strive to have your bike ready by the end of the day. For afternoon bookings, you can expect your bike to be ready for collection the following working day.

Courtesy Bikes

For those who rely on their bicycle to get around, we understand the inconvenience of being left without one. That’s why we offer a complimentary fleet of NipNip bicycles. While we take care of your bike, you can borrow one of ours to ensure you’re never left without transportation.

Convenient Locations

We’re proud to have three conveniently located bicycle workshops in London, situated in London Bridge, Canary Wharf, and Tower Bridge. With our repair services spread across these central hubs, getting to your closest bicycle workshop is easy.

Flexibility

We recognise the importance of having a bike service that works for you. That’s why we came up with ‘NipNip Your Way’,  offering three convenient ways for us to service your bicycle:

  • NipNip Hub: This option involves visiting one of our three London bike workshops and leaving your bike with us until it is ready for collection.
  • NipNip Mobile: A technician will come directly to you, equipped with the essential tools to carry out servicing and repairs on-site, wherever you are.
  • NipNip Collect & Return: Whether at your home or workplace, we will come to you, collect your bike, and transport it to our bicycle workshop for repairs or servicing. Once the work is complete, we’ll return your bike to you.
